Old Business

Tim T made a final presentation of the Aquatic Vegetation Harvesting Equipment.  *For more information about this equipment, please visit: www.beaverlake.net, scroll to the bottom of the page and under Visitors, click Lake Restoration Project.

Bob S asked if it is diesel.  Yes.  How will it be put in the lake?  Comes with a trailer.  How do we store it? Metal Shed.  All are included in pricing.

Carrie G added that the hydraulic system runs on vegetable oil, so in the event that something would happen in the water, the fluid is safe for wildlife

Mike L asked if maintenance was included in the budget.  Yes.  Do we have a budget?  Yes very detailed but may change depending on potential grants.  Tim has been working to secure any aid the club may be eligible for with the help from a marine biologist familiar with PA watersheds and lakes.

Rebekah asked about insurance for boat and workers.  Tim and Steve both commented that it will be insured if the equipment is voted on but that was not included in the budget.

If vote is in favor of the equipment, billing will not be sent to members until Feb. 2025.  Current estimate is $330 per lot (this would be the max price).  From now until Feb efforts will be made to apply for grants and aid to attempt to lower that even further.

New Business:

Greg showed the current update of the website.  Please go to: www.beaverlake.net to take a look!  A lot of great information on the history of Beaver Lake as well as important information such as collection information to easily see if your lot(s) are current, a resident and visitor section, easily find the Bylaws and membership info and applications, reservations for the clubhouse, board meeting minutes, upcoming events and a ton more of useful and important or fun information.  Please check it out when you have a minute!

Members were then given paper to vote for proposed community purchases. Some of which will be paid from the gas lease money left over after paying off the dam loan. The Aquatic Vegetation Harvesting Equipment requires additional member fees. Per current Bylaw Rules, and as stated in Article 4, Section 4, “At any regular or special meeting of the members of the organization, a majority vote of the voting members present shall constitute a binding vote.  Only one (1) vote may be cast per deed, regardless of the number of owners reflected on a deed.” Voting results were as follows:
